  • Description: Over the summer, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) issued its Cybersecurity Assessment Tool, which can be used "to help management and directors of financial institutions understand supervisory expectations, increase awareness of cybersecurity risks, and assess and mitigate the risks facing these institutions," noted the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), one of the FFIEC's member agencies. DeMarco interviews Kevin Greenfield, director for bank information technology in the Operational Risk Policy Division, and Eric Gott, governance and operational risk team lead for the OCCs Large Bank Supervision group, who raise awareness and understanding of the assessment tool.
