  • Description: For nearly 20 years the author has based the analytical psychotherapy of psychoses on the body image and could point out that zones of destruction in the body image of psychotic patients correspond to zones of destruction in their family structures. Thus gaps in the family structure represent a danger for the treatment and even for prior questioning. The psychotherapeutic intervention which deals with family dynamics helps us to work more efficiently and to limit troubles in symbolic processes which characterize psychosis.
